The QH Blend 2002-2012 Retrospective Line-Up

As I am sure you all are aware of: I love retrospectives. Looking back at something after time has passed to peer at genius possibly tucked away is what this is all about.

Due to the fact that there are so many records to be discussed, I've tried to narrow down my choices this year. This particular grouping focuses on Brandy's Full Moon, Common's Electric Circus, Ace of Base's Da Capo, and Jennifer Lopez's This is Me...Then. All of these albums dropped in 2002 and are turning 10 this year in 2012.

The selection is based on my like of the long players, as well as drawing light to records that wouldn't normally receive any coverage, or may only receive basic highlighting. The retrospectives will be released sporadically during this calendar year, starting next month. At this time I'm not following a set chronological order, at least two of the four were fall/winter releases originally.

Either way, I wanted to share the "inductees" with you all, and hope this excites you as much as it does me. Thanks for reading, and watch for the first installment to pop up in early February!-QH

Good idea, & very timely as well. It's strange how good music, REALLY good music doesn't really age... and 10 years ago might as well be 10 days.
